One of CMCT’s oldest running programs, these rallies are held in different parts of Chennai every fortnight. It is a two-hour program which brings together kids from various backgrounds for a time of fun, frolic, and meaningful learning. Children participate in various competitions, quizzing and sports events and engage in interesting hobbies. Similar to the scouts, these rallies seek to enthuse kids with a sense of higher purpose, inspiring them to be model citizens. Many children also participate in a five-day annual camp at the end of the year.
CMCT expanded my horizons. I have been able to increase my skills through training programs for which I was sent. I began my career as a teacher, but CMCT gave me the opportunity to be a designer, a leader, and a mentor to women from difficult backgrounds.
