HELPING HAND PROJECT – FLOODING CRISIS IN CHENNAI
In the past few days, the city of Chennai has been brought to a standstill by unprecedented heavy rains which have flooded the entire city. Homes in the low-lying areas and in many residential areas have been flooded. Hundreds of people in the city, especially the poor people in slums, have lost their belongings and are now being moved to shelter homes by the government. More heavy rainfall is predicted by the Metrological department for the city and a warning has been given to people to stay safe.
In this crisis, CMCT has decided to undertake relief work under the Helping Hand project to reach out with loving care to those who are suffering.
